We are open to undergraduate, graduate, and “non-traditional” students. Though the PSP has been best known over the past two decades as the premier student-abroad program for aspiring writers, we wish to emphasize that we are indeed a diverse English and Culture Studies program open to any students of English-language literature and Czech literature in English translation, art photography, Jewish studies, dramatic writing and production, Czech language, and Yoga/Ayurveda. All credit earned in the PSP may be transferred back to home institutions. When necessary, the PSP director will communicate with department chairs and/or undergraduate and graduate directors regarding the academic efficacy of the PSP’s offerings. Numerous Ivy League institutions have accepted Western Michigan University credit earned through the Prague Summer Program, as have scores of other institutions across the United States, and indeed the world. Students may earn up to seven hours of transferable undergraduate or graduate credit, or may experience the program as non-matriculating participants. Each cycle, many mature, working adults enjoy all aspects of the program without worrying about earning credit.
